Healing, Wisdom, and Transformation through Poetry

A Journey

A journey of transformation and expansion -

Of reconnection.

Of soul encounters.

Of facing my limits.

Of transcendence.

Of being held by the vastness.

Of spiritual growth.

Of embracing life itself –

As my greatest teacher.

A journey

of arriving and departing,

of inner silence and peace,

A journey

Of shedding layers,

Of stepping more fully into my dreams.

A journey of healing, (un-)learning,

Of embracing my Soul,

While expanding my spirit.

A journey of companionship,

Of connection with self.

A journey of

Love, romance, friendship,

Adventure, the ordinary.

A journey of

Peace, joy, laughter,

Of conflicting emotions,

Grief for Nature,

Spiritual hope, ritual,

And healing.

A journey of

connection with humanity and the Divine –

that permeates everything.

And what stays is

Gratefulness, for all that is,

And for all that has been,

for me to be here and alive today,

with an open heart and soul,

shining out my light and healing,

and stepping fully into my power.

Guided by the Spirits

Blessed I am

For I walk in both worlds,

And shift between them with grace.

Blessed I am,

For I have lifted the veil,

Weaving together what had been broken.

A connector of worlds,

A messenger of Spirit,

A Healer initiated,

By ancient wisdom.

I chant to the stars, the wind, and the moon.

I give thanks to what was, to what is,

And to what will be.

I step into the power granted to me

Through the Great Grandmother of the Shamans

From a place of love,

Knowing my responsibility –

To use these powers wisely

And to wield them with love,

To fully step into service.

To release, time and again,

My old self.

To become and to unbecome.

The white owl spreading its wings,

And taking flight,

With the winds that blow,

Now that I have set sail.

And yet,

I never fly alone

For I am a child of the Great Spirit,

And held by those who have walked long before me.

Stepping into love

I stepped into love

Old narratives crumbling,

Old distorted perceptions of myself shattering.

To be reborn,

A phoenix.

From the ashes that nourish me,

And that give me strength on my journey.

To love,

To serve,

To be.

Stepping into my calling,

Beyond the veil of separation.

Freedom

Freedom.

From old attachments.

From old narratives.

From old ways of living.

From who I thought I was.

From attachment to outcome.

From playing small.

From victimhood.

From a lack of self-love.

Freedom to be.

Freedom to go,

Freedom to do.

Freedom to be -

Where and what I want.

Freedom to simply

BE myself.

Being still

We are never taught that

It is enough to just BE.

That we don’t have to constantly

Achieve, do,

To be worthy

And to live our purpose.

It is by BEING more and doing less

That we find peace within,

And that we can be found by those who

Have been looking for us.

It is by being still that

We can reconnect,

More deeply, more authentically,

And that we nourish our soul.

To be in solitude

Is to be free.

To be in solitude

Is to hear your soul’s calling.

To be in solitude

Is to embrace

Both your shadow and your light.

Being in solitude

Is to hear your own voice,

To let it grow,

From a whisper to a roar.

Being in solitude

Is forging your own path.

A love that touches

Not only my body but my soul.

A love that it gentle, peaceful,

Full of sunshine and laughter,

Of joy and lightness.

A love that casts light on the shadows,

So that what is hidden in darkness

Is embraced by love.

Miracles

Releasing.

What no longer serves me.

Transforming

Grief into gratitude.

Embracing.

The present moment.

Healing.

Old wounds and pain.

Trusting.

In my soul’s guidance.

Accepting.

All that is.

Asking.

For spiritual guidance and healing.

Letting go.

Of expectations and attachments.

To find the miracle in the unknown.

Initiation

Another of these nights

When the stars shine brightly

And Spirit manifests its presence,

To teach me, to guide me,

To humbly make me see that

Wisdom cannot be chased or acquired.

Rather, it comes to us

When the spirits deem us ready,

When we have learned to sit quietly and listen.

Tonight,

Another initiation.

My pledge to this path.

My life of commitment,

To fully step into my soul’s calling.

To follow the teaching of the spirits.

To let them guide me

Where I need to be.

A promise,

In humility, grace and love,

To live a life of service and love, to heal –

Mother Earth, and all living beings,

The ancestral and the spirit worlds,

Weaving together the invisible and the visible realms.
